افتتاح مبهر لبطولة العالم للجامعات للأثقال

انطلقت مساء أمس في الدوحة بطولة العالم للجامعات لرفع الأثقال – الدوحة 2026، بحفل افتتاح رسمي استضافته المدينة التعليمية، إيذانًا ببدء منافسات النسخة العاشرة من البطولة، التي تستمر حتى 12 سبتمبر الجاري بمشاركة نحو 116 رياضيًا يمثلون 21 دولة مشاركة. وشهدت مراسم الافتتاح أجواءً احتفالية عكست الطابع القطري للحدث، ومهّدت لانطلاق منافسات تجمع نخبة من الرياضيين الجامعيين على منصة عالمية للتنافس والتميز.
وبلمسات قطرية مستوحاة من عبق التراث وأصالة الهوية، جاء حفل افتتاح البطولة بسيطًا في تفاصيله، غنيًا في دلالاته، جامعًا بين مراسم أعلام الدول المشاركة وملامح من الثقافة القطرية، في رسالة ترحيبية عكست حفاوة الدوحة بضيوفها من الرياضيين والوفود. ونجح الحفل في تقديم صورة نابضة عن قطر وتراثها، من خلال إطلالة على جانب من الموروث الوطني والثقافة المحلية، ليمنح المشاركين تجربة ثقافية وإنسانية موازية للتنافس الرياضي، ويتيح لهم التعرف عن قرب على ملامح المجتمع القطري وعاداته وتقاليده.
وشهد حفل الافتتاح حضور سعادة الدكتور إبراهيم بن صالح النعيمي، رئيس الاتحاد القطري للرياضة الجامعية ورئيس اللجنة المنظمة للبطولة، وسعادة الدكتور ثاني عبدالرحمن الكواري، النائب الثاني لرئيس اللجنة الأولمبية القطرية، والسيد محمد حسن جلود، رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لرفع الأثقال، والسيد ماركو زونيتش، عضو اللجنة التنفيذية للاتحاد الدولي للرياضة الجامعية (FISU) والسيد راشد سعيد عضيبة، أمين السر العام للاتحاد القطري للرياضة الجامعية وعدد من الشخصيات الرياضية والأكاديمية وأعضاء مجلس إدارة الاتحاد القطري.
وفي كلمته خلال حفل الافتتاح، رحّب سعادة الدكتور إبراهيم بن صالح النعيمي، رئيس الاتحاد القطري للرياضة الجامعية، بالوفود المشاركة والرباعين والربّاعات القادمين من مختلف أنحاء العالم إلى الدوحة، عاصمة الرياضة العالمية، مؤكدًا أن هذه البطولة تتجاوز حدود المنافسة الرياضية لتشكل منصة للتنافس النزيه، وفرصة للتعارف وتبادل الثقافات وبناء الصداقات وتعزيز جسور التفاهم بين شباب العالم.
كما أعرب سعادته عن خالص تقديره للاتحاد الدولي للرياضة الجامعية (FISU) على الثقة التي أولَاها للاتحاد القطري للرياضة الجامعية، وما أبداه من تقدير لقدراته التنظيمية، إلى جانب دعمه المتواصل لمسيرة الرياضة الجامعية على المستوى العالمي. وحثّ سعادته الربّاعين والربّاعات على خوض المنافسات بروح رياضية عالية، وتقديم أفضل ما لديهم من أداء ومستويات تنافسية، متمنيًا لهم التوفيق وإقامة طيبة في دولة قطر، والعودة إلى أوطانهم محمّلين بذكريات جميلة وثرية عن مشاركتهم في البطولة وعن الدوحة وقطر.
وتنطلق مساء اليوم المنافسات الرسمية للبطولة، بإقامة منافسات الفئات الوزنية 49 و 53 كغم (المجموعة الأولى - سيدات)، والفئة الوزنية 60 كغم (المجموعة الأولى - رجال)، على أن تتواصل المنافسات مساء غد بإقامة منافسات الفئات الوزنية 65 و70 كغم (المجموعة الأولى – رجال) والفئة الوزنية 57 كغم (المجموعة الأولى- سيدات).

3 رباعين يمثلون قطر
يُمثل دولة قطر في منافسات البطولة ربّاعان وربّاعة هم: وصال يخلف، صاحبة الإنجاز اللافت في بطولة آسيا لرفع الأثقال 2026، بعد حصدها ثلاث ميداليات في منافسات وزن أكثر من 86 كغم، والربّاعان نادر بكر وسعد صلاح الحمادي في منافسات الرجال، حيث يطمح الثنائي إلى تقديم مستويات قوية والاستفادة من المشاركة في البطولة، واكتساب المزيد من الخبرة من خلال التنافس مع نخبة من الربّاعين الجامعيين.

مشاركة 21 دولة
وتجمع البطولة 21 دولة هي: أذربيجان، وبلغاريا، وكندا، والدنمارك، والإكوادور، وإسبانيا، وفنلندا، وبريطانيا، وهنغاريا، وأيرلندا، والعراق، وكوريا، ومولدوفا، وبولندا، وبورتوريكو، وقطر، ورومانيا، وسريلانكا، وسلوفاكيا، والصين تايبيه، والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، فيما تتوزع المنافسات على ثماني فئات وزنية للرجال هي: 60 و65 و70 و75 و85 و95 و110 وأكثر من 110 كغم، وثماني فئات للسيدات هي: 49 و53 و57 و61 و69 و77 و86 وأكثر من 86 كغم، على أن يتنافس الربّاعون والربّاعات في منافسات الخطف والنتر.

يبدو أن قطار الموسم الحالي 2026/2027 لم ينطلق كما اشتهى فريقا قطر والوكرة، بعدما وجد الفريقان نفسيهما في مراكز متأخرة» العاشر والحادي عشر « عقب مرور ثلاث جولات من دوري نجوم بنك الدوحة، برصيد نقطة واحدة فقط لكل منهما، في بداية تطرح أكثر من علامة استفهام حول الأسباب الحقيقية لهذا التراجع.

سقوط كبير.. وجرس إنذار
المؤلم لجماهير الفريقين لم يكن فقط ضعف الحصيلة، وإنما حجم الخسائر أيضًا. فـ «الملك» القطراوي تلقى خسارة ثقيلة أمام السد بسداسية، بينما سقط الوكرة برباعية أمام لوسيل، في نتيجتين كشفتا عن خلل واضح يحتاج إلى معالجة سريعة، قبل أن تتحول البداية المتعثرة إلى أزمة يصعب الخروج منها.
أين اختفت قوة الموسم الماضي؟
السؤال الأبرز: أين اختفت الصورة التي ظهر عليها الفريقان في بداية الموسم الماضي؟ قطر كان منافسًا قويًا على المقدمة والصدارة مع الشمال لعدة جولات، فيما قدم الوكرة مستويات لافتة جعلته طرفًا قادرًا على مقارعة الكبار. أما هذا الموسم، فقد تبدلت الصورة بصورة مفاجئة.
الإنقاذ مسؤولية الجميع
ورغم التدعيمات والصفقات الجديدة، لم يقدم الفريقان حتى الآن ما يقنع جماهيرهما بأن الأمور تسير في الاتجاه الصحيح. احتلال قطر والوكرة المركزين العاشر والحادي عشر يجب أن يكون جرس إنذار حقيقيًا، فالمطلوب ليس انتظار تحسن النتائج، بل التحرك سريعًا لتصحيح الأخطاء واستعادة الشخصية قبل الدخول في دوامة الحسابات المعقدة، فالقادم أصعب، والوقت لا ينتظر أحدًا.

أكد عبدالله القحطاني رئيس اللجنة الفنية بدوري الكابتن سعيد المسند رحمه الله لكرة الصالات في نسخته الثانية أن البطولة تشهد مستويات فنية قوية ومنافسة مثيرة بين الفرق، مشيداً بالأجواء المميزة التي تصاحب منافسات البطولة سواء على المستوى الفني أو الجماهيري.
وقال إن النسخة الثانية تؤكد يوماً بعد يوم المكانة التي أصبحت تحظى بها البطولة، وما تتمتع به من تنافس كبير بين جميع الفرق.
وأضاف: البطولة تسير بصورة رائعة للغاية، والمستوى الفني في تصاعد مستمر، ويمكن القول إن المنافسات تصبح أقوى من جولة إلى أخرى، وهو ما يعكس رغبة جميع الفرق في تقديم أفضل ما لديها والمنافسة بقوة من أجل الوصول إلى أبعد نقطة ممكنة، ومن الصعب جداً في الوقت الحالي الحديث عن فريق بعينه باعتباره المرشح الأبرز للتتويج، لأن هناك أكثر من فريق يمتلك المقومات والإمكانات.
وتابع: من الأمور التي تسعدنا كثيراً وجود عدد كبير من اللاعبين المميزين في البطولة، وهذا أمر يثري المنافسات ويرفع من المستوى الفني للمباريات.
وقال: الحضور الجماهيري في البطولة رائع ومميز، والجماهير تضفي أجواء جميلة جداً على المباريات. واختتم حديثه بالتأكيد على أن ما تبقى من منافسات البطولة سيكون أكثر إثارة وقوة، وقال: ما زال أمامنا الكثير، وأعتقد أن الادوار القادمة ستشهد المزيد من الندية والإثارة ومن الصعب التكهن بالبطل في الوقت الحالي، لأن الفوارق بين الفرق ليست كبيرة. newsbetting.club

Madrid: Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe said Monday it was natural for people to consider him as a potential Ballon d'Or winner this year after his World Cup exploits.

The France captain scored 10 goals at the tournament this summer to win the Golden Boot, with his country finishing fourth, and has netted 22 in the competition during his career, making him the World Cup's all-time top scorer.

Mbappe, 27, has not yet won the prestigious trophy given to the world's best player.

"I think that when you play for Real Madrid, which is the best club in the world, naturally people associate you with that kind of award, they associate you with collective awards, individual awards," Mbappe told reporters.

"A lot of people, when they see me in the street, talk to me about the Ballon d'Or, a lot of people talk about me as a possible Ballon d'Or winner...

"Of course I made a lot of history this summer in the most important competition in sport, but we'll see.

"I have the feeling that it's a good year for that, but there's still a long time to go and people are free to vote for whoever they think is the best player in the world."

Since joining Real Madrid in 2024 Mbappe has scored huge quantities of goals but the club has failed to win a major trophy.

On Tuesday the record 15-time European champions host Inter Milan in the Champions League in the first match of the league phase.

During Mbappe's first two years at Madrid the team has appeared unbalanced, with too many star names, including the Frenchman and Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior, widely considered not to be contributing enough to the team effort -- in contrast to Ousmane Dembele at Paris Saint-Germain and Raphinha at Barcelona.

"We have to improve," admitted Mbappe. "But I could play dumb and tell you that I score more goals than (Dembele and Raphinha), and that they need to score more goals to be like me.

"Everyone is different, but I want to do things intelligently and say that of course I have to improve and all that, but I don't like comparisons because I think I do a lot of things that others don't do."

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho recently said he would prefer if Mbappe scored fewer goals but also worked hard to help the team win titles.

Mbappe said he would accept lower numbers if it led to trophies, but noted they were not mutually exclusive.

"I'd take 30 goals with titles, yes, but... for me it's an absurd debate," said Mbappe.

"I always want to score goals and win titles... you don't have to choose, you can do both things."

Mourinho faces old friends

Veteran Portuguese coach Mourinho led Inter to Champions League glory in 2010 at the Santiago Bernabeu before he departed to take over at Real Madrid.

Despite his history with the Italian side, whom he steered to the treble that year, the coach said that only mattered before and after, but not during the match.

"There aren't many (people) left from my time, but it'll always be a pleasure to see people, even if I don't know them, but people who defend Inter, before and after," said Mourinho.

"During the game I want to win, they want to win, and there won't be time to think about things from a wonderful past."

Mourinho wants his Madrid players to bounce back from their first defeat of the season, 1-0 at Real Betis on Friday in La Liga.

"I want to win. I could tell you I want to play well, but I don't want to play well like we did against Betis and lose," said Mourinho.

"Obviously we're in a phase where we play eight games and the objective in these eight games is to qualify, and I think we're going to do that. But I want to think about this match in isolation from that context.

"I want to think about this match as a one-off game. I don't want to think that we still have seven more matches to play, and I want to win."

Doha, Qatar: Qatar is once again preparing to welcome the world’s leading squash stars as the Qatar Classic 2026 brings another week of world-class action to Doha from September 12 to 18.

The prestigious PSA World Tour Platinum event will return to the iconic Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, continuing Doha’s long-standing role as one of the sport’s premier international destinations.

The men’s draw is led by Egyptian World No.1 Mostafa Asal, who continues his Qatar Classic title chase after finishing runner-up in the last two editions. Defending champion Paul Coll will aim for his second title, but the New Zealander will be up against one of the toughest players in the draw to kick off the proceedings this time when he faces four-time Qatar Classic champion Mohamed ElShorbagy.

Former champion Diego Elias, the No.3 seed, will also be among the leading contenders and is on a collision course against Asal. If both of them reach the semis this time, it would be their fifth meeting this year.

Also present is Egyptian teenager and the current World Junior Champion Mohamad Zakaria, and his compatriot Karim Abdel Gawad of Egypt. Gawad, the 2016 winner takes on home hero Abdulla Al Tamimi in the first round.

Al Tamimi, who returned to action last month following an injury he suffered last year, will be aiming to gain his rhythm at the home event as he gears up for the Asian games which will begin later this month in Japan.

Al Tamimi is the owner of Qatar’s only squash medal at the Asian Games, a bronze which he won three years ago in China, and is among top contenders at the Aichi-Nagoya Games too.

Speaking to Qatar Olympic Committee, Al Tamimi said he is determined to use the coming period to reach his best form and challenge for a place on the podium.

“This is the beginning of my preparation for the Asian Games, and God willing, I’ll be ready by the Asian Games,” he said.

“God willing, we’ll achieve a medal and a great accomplishment for the State of Qatar,” the 31-year-old said.

In addition to Al Tamimi, Salem Al-Malki will also feature in the men’s draw at the Qatar Classic, facing France’s Melvil Scianimanico in the opening round.

Meanwhile, the women’s draw will see the return of Egyptian former World Champion and former World No.1 Nouran Gohar, who is set to compete again after spending a year away from the Tour following the birth of her first child in April.

Gohar faces a challenging opening-round meeting against compatriot Kenzy Ayman. If Gohar progresses, she is seeded to meet the defending champion Hania El Hammamy in the quarter-finals.

El Hammamy, the No.1 seed, is a two-time Qatar Classic champion, having lifted the title in 2023 and 2025.

World No.2 and reigning World Champion Amina Orfi will also be in action, alongside four-time Qatar Classic finalist Nour ElSherbini and USA No.1 Olivia Weaver is fourth.
