Donald Trump will make shock visit to the Winter Olympics if USA reaches men's hockey final
The Americans are the huge favorites to win gold and face a quarter final against an unknown opponent on Wednesday.
Pack adds a Tad and a large lad
NC State made a couple more additions through the portal recently to add depth at quarterback and offensive tackle: former Coastal Carolina quarterback Tad Hudson, and ex-UT Martin offensive tackle Jai’Lun Hampton are now in the fold.
Hudson, who spent his freshman season at UNC, was Coastal’s primary starter in 2025 and played pretty poorly, completing just 54.7% of his passes for an average of 4.9 yards per attempt. He threw six touchdown passes and seven interceptions. Ideally, of course, he won’t start a game for NC State in 2026, but should the worst happen, he at least gives the team an option with starting experience.
Hampton, who is listed at 6’9 and 335, was UT-Martin’s starting left tackle in 2025 and earned second-team all-conference honors. He also provides insurance against injuries, and who knows, maybe he’ll push ECU transfer Jimarion McCrimon for the starting spot opposite Teague Andersen.
Since we’re well into the spring semester at this point, neither player will be enrolling until the summer. Hudson has two years left, Hampton has one.
'Surreal': MMA community reacts to Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano
The MMA world got a bombshell announcement Tuesday when it was revealed that women's combat sports legends Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano will share the cage this spring – but not in the UFC.
Netflix, in conjunction with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions, will put on a long-discussed showdown between UFC Hall of Famer Rousey (12-2) and Carano (7-1) on May 16 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif.
It was a stunning announcement, and many in the MMA world were taken aback at the idea of seeing Rousey compete for the first time since December 2016 and Carano for the first time since August 2009.
Check out those reactions below.

There's a world where Rousey ties Carano up, throws her and scores a quick armbar. But this is also a person with an extensive history of concussions, which pushed her to retirement. I've pretty much lost all faith in athletic commissions, so my guess is it'll be approved. https://t.co/J2lLySPFCPpic.twitter.com/CwI1UWjhx6

CBS Sports reveals bold prediction for star Alabama wide receiver
CBS Sports’ Cody Nagel has recently released his bold predictions for every team listed in the way-too-early top 25 for next season.
Alabama is ranked as the No. 15 overall team in the country, per CBS Sports' Brandon Marcello's way-too-early 2026 Top 25, as the Tide will have a multitude of new faces on both sides of the football next season.
Nagel’s bold prediction for the Tide involves star wide receiver Ryan Williams, as the analyst predicts the talented route runner to lead the SEC in touchdowns during the 2026 campaign. Williams struggled in 2025 following an electrifying freshman season, but the playmaker could quickly begin to turn things around as Alabama’s likely No. 1 option in 2026.
Williams recorded 689 yards and four touchdowns on 49 receptions last season. Nagel’s prediction could quickly become a reality should Williams turn things around next year, as the playmaker is widely regarded as a top receiver in all of college football despite a down year in 2025.
Alabama will kickoff the 2026 campaign on Sept. 5 against East Carolina, as Williams will look to get back on track throughout his third season as a member of the Crimson Tide.
