Serie A (2026/27) : Les matchs de la première journée dévoilés
Les matchs de la première journée de la Serie A italienne pour la saison 2026-2027 sont désormais connus. Le championnat débutera officiellement lors du week-end du 23 août 2026 avec déjà plusieurs affiches intéressantes pour lancer cette nouvelle campagne.
Tenant du titre, l’Inter Milan entamera la défense de son Scudetto devant son public. Les Nerazzurri recevront Monza à domicile, une formation modeste mais ambitieuse qui tentera de créer la surprise. De son côté, la Juventus débutera par un déplacement délicat sur la pelouse de Frosinone, une équipe réputée accrocheuse à domicile et désireuse de bien lancer sa saison face à l’un des cadors du championnat. catcross.biz
L’AC Milan, autre grand club italien, commencera également loin de ses bases. Les Rossoneri se rendront à Turin pour affronter le Torino, dans un duel toujours intense et disputé du nord de l’Italie. Enfin, la surprise de la saison dernière, Como, poursuivra sa progression en Serie A avec un déplacement sur le terrain de l’Udinese. Une affiche intéressante entre deux formations aux ambitions différentes, mais capables de belles performances.

Bulls boss salutes SA’s best player
Vodacom Bulls coach Johan Ackermann has praised Embrose Papier after the scrumhalf was named South Africa’s URC Player of the Season.
Papier received the award following a superb campaign in which he emerged as one of the competition’s standout performers and played a key role in guiding the Bulls to the URC semi-finals.
The 29-year-old was selected by a voting panel consisting of the Springbok coaching staff, South Africa’s four URC head coaches and selected TV commentators.

Ackermann said the accolade was richly deserved after Papier’s consistency throughout the season.
“We’re proud of Embrose,” said Ackermann. “He’s showed why he got the award for just consistently playing well over the season.
“As a team, we had some ups and downs, but he played consistently well and as the season progressed, he just got better and better.”
Papier’s form has reignited his Springbok ambitions ahead of the international season.
The Bulls scrumhalf scored nine tries during the regular season before adding another two in his side’s quarter-final victory against Munster. He also registered five assists, 15 clean breaks and beat 25 defenders.

His performances earned him a call-up to the recent Springbok alignment camp and have strengthened his case for a return to the national setup.
Ackermann was quick to acknowledge the quality of players competing across South Africa’s four URC clubs, but believes Papier stood out over the course of the campaign.
“I think it’s difficult for any player to do that without the team, so we as a team are obviously proud of Embrose and that he got the award,” he said. “But there are so many good players in South Africa and it could’ve gone to anyone.
“For us this season, he was just simply outstanding.”

Blitzboks bounce back with big Kenya win to stay alive in Bordeaux
The Blitzboks bounced back from a shock opening loss with a big 26-5 win over Kenya in their second pool match of the France Sevens at the Stade de Bordeaux on Friday night.
After going down in extra time to Great Britain 19-14 in their opening match, the Blitzboks desperately needed a good win to get themselves back on track, and that they did against their African rivals.
The result, coupled with Fiji beating Great Britain 26-12, after they won their opener against Kenya 31-12, moves the Blitzboks into second on the pool A log, behind the table topping Pacific Islanders.
The Blitzboks now need to beat Fiji in their final pool match on Saturday morning (kick-off 11:06am) if they are to secure a place in the competition quarterfinals, while even if they lose they could still sneak into the knockouts but will need other results to go their way.
Great start
In the match against Kenya the Blitzboks got off to a great start after they started an attack from a scrum on their own 22m.
They nicely worked their way up field, sending the ball one way and back the other, before Shilton van Wyk threw a dummy and hit a gap to race away and score the opener after two minutes.
Kenya then enjoyed some possession, but eventually lost the ball after a strong rip from Siviwe Soyizwapi got the Blitzboks the ball back.
But they were first forced back into their own 22m by some impressive defence, before attacking from deep, as the ball went wide to Quewin Nortje who broke down the line and found Van Wyk on his inside to sprint off for a converted score, which gave them a 12-0 lead at the break.
The Blitzboks started the second half with a bang, earning a penalty on the Kenyan 22m, chose to scrum, attacked and Ricardo Duarttee slung a long pass out to Nortje, who stepped inside, busted through a tackle and went over under the posts in the ninth minute.
Two minutes later and the Blitzboks were in for their fourth, again attacking from a scrum inside the Kenya 22m, with Duarttee going down the blindside and releasing Nortje to run around under the posts, with the conversion putting them 26-0 up.
With time up Kenya then kept the ball alive and worked their way into the Blitzboks 22m, where big George Ooro powered over in the corner for a consolation score.
