The ticket ballot for the 2027 Cricket World Cup is open, with fans able to enter for matches across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Here’s how to enter and what happens once you’ve submitted your application.
Fans wanting tickets must enter through the official Cricket World Cup ticketing website, where they can select the matches they want to attend and submit their ballot entries.
How is a ticket ballot different from normal ticket sales?
Unlike a normal ticket sale, fans are not buying tickets when they enter the ballot.
There is also no rush to enter as soon as the ballot opens. It is not first come, first served, so an application submitted on the first day has the same chance as a valid application submitted before the deadline.

Instead, fans select the matches and ticket categories they want and submit an application during the ballot window.
If demand for a match is greater than the number of tickets available, a randomised draw determines which applicants are given the opportunity to buy tickets. If a match is not oversubscribed, registered applicants will be offered the opportunity to purchase tickets.
How do I enter?
The ballot will remain open until 11:59pm SAST on 21 November 2026.
Fans can apply for as many matches as they wish, with each match treated as a separate entry. They can request up to four tickets per match and select their preferred ticket category.
Entering the ballot is free and no payment is required at this stage.
What happens after the ballot closes?
Successful applicants will be contacted by email and given a specified window in which to purchase their allocated tickets.
Entering the ballot does not guarantee a ticket, while any tickets remaining after the ballot process could be released during later sales phases.
Ticket prices will range from approximately R158 for entry-level tickets to R514 for the highest-tier matches, with prices subject to currency fluctuations. Family bundles and special student, pensioner, community club and school group pricing are also planned.
