The University of North Carolina reportedly intends to hire former Denver Nuggets head coach Mike Malone as its next men's basketball coach, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.

According to sources, North Carolina plans to hire Mike Malone, who led the Denver Nuggets to an NBA Championship in the 2022-23 season. Malone has accumulated 510 wins in his NBA coaching career.
