The league announced the expansion at its annual meeting on Monday, bringing the NFL's international markets to 22. Teams with marketing rights typically have opportunities to play international games, so the Browns and/or Saints could potentially play in Italy.
Meanwhile, the Raiders have expanded their international market rights to include Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. NFL Managing Director Gerrit Meier noted that the expansion "highlights the continued focus on global growth for the NFL and 32 teams."
