Cowboys-Ravens to play NFL's first Rio game in 2026

The NFL has announced that the Dallas Cowboys will face the Baltimore Ravens in the league's first-ever regular-season game in Rio de Janeiro during Week 3 of the 2026 season.

The matchup will be played at Maracanã Stadium, which hosted the 2014 FIFA World Cup final. Both teams have international experience, with the Cowboys last playing abroad in London in 2014 and the Ravens having played in London in 2017 and 2023.

The game is part of the NFL's expansion in Brazil, where the league has held Week 1 games in São Paulo for the past two seasons. Brazil hosts over 36 million NFL fans according to the league, making it a key market for international growth.
