Shokalook Signs MLS Contract After Stellar Next Pro Season

Erie native Jason Shokalook has signed an MLS contract through 2026 with options for 2027 and 2028 after an impressive 2025 season in MLS Next Pro.

Shokalook, who was selected by Chicago Fire in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft, excelled in MLS Next Pro during the 2025 season. The forward scored a league-high 20 goals and was named a finalist for the MLS Next Pro MVP award.

Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, Shokalook balanced hockey and soccer as a child before playing college soccer at the University of Akron. After making his MLS debut against D.C. United, he continued his stellar performances in the reserves before helping his team reach the MLS Next Pro Playoffs quarterfinals.
