The tournament was originally set to begin on February 17 but the Congolese Football Federation (FECOFA) decided to delay the start by one day. In an official statement, UNIFFAC confirmed the change was made "for organizational reasons to ensure the tournament runs as smoothly as possible."
National teams participating in the competition must now rearrange their schedules in preparation for the new start date on Wednesday, February 18.
