USA Advances to Women’s Hockey Gold Medal Game

The United States beat Sweden 5-0 in the Olympic women's hockey semifinal, with goaltender Aerin Frankel stopping 21 shots for her third shutout.

USA's 5-0 victory over Sweden in the Milan Cortina Games sealed a spot in the gold‑medal match. Aerin Frankel stopped 21 shots for her third shutout of the tournament, while Abby Murphy, Kendall Coyne Schofield and Hayley Scamurra scored in quick succession to open the scoring.

The win extends the U.S. shutout streak to 331 minutes, 23 seconds, and sets up a showdown against Canada on Thursday. The Americans have yet to trail or tie in any game, a feat shared only by Canada in 2006 and 2010.
