Penguins rout Islanders 8-3, leapfrog into second

Anthony Mantha had two goals and an assist as the Penguins beat the Islanders 8-3, moving into second place in the Metropolitan Division.

The Penguins rallied from a 3-1 deficit, scoring four times in less than six minutes to take control. Rickard Rakell added a brace, while Arturs Silovs made 27 saves to keep the Islanders at bay.

With the win, Pittsburgh jumps to 90 points, one ahead of New York, and has eight games left to finish the season. Sidney Crosby returned from injury and contributed a point, while Evgeni Malkin remains day‑to‑day.
