Bucknor Misses Obvious Call in Brewers-Rays Game

Umpire C.B. Bucknor made an obvious missed call during the Milwaukee Brewers' 6-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday.

Jake Bauers was initially called out for failing to touch first base during the sixth inning, but replays showed he clearly touched the bag. Manager Pat Murphy brushed off criticism of the call, joking that he smiled at Rays manager Kevin Cash because they were friends. Bucknor has struggled this season, posting the worst results in the new Automated Ball-Strike System.
