Olympic 100m silver medallist Sha'Carri Richardson won Australia’s iconic Stawell Gift from scratch, beating Charlotte Nielsen in a 13.08s finish.

Richardson, the 26‑year‑old sprinter, overcame a ten‑metre handicap to become only the third woman to win the Stawell Gift from scratch. She ran 120 metres on the uphill grass track, finishing in 13.08 seconds and taking the A$40,000 prize.
