The 2026 WNBA free agency period officially begins Monday, April 6, following a condensed timeline due to the new CBA. Top stars A'ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, and Sabrina Ionescu have already committed to their respective franchises.

The WNBA's new Collective Bargaining Agreement accelerates the process, with the negotiation period opening Wednesday, April 8, and signings commencing Saturday, April 11.

Several of the league's biggest names have already secured their futures, including A'ja Wilson, who is expected to re-sign with the Las Vegas Aces on a supermax deal, and Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu, both of whom remain with the New York Liberty.
