Michigan beats UConn for first title since 1989

Michigan won the NCAA men's basketball championship on Monday, defeating UConn 69-63 in a low-scoring affair.

The Wolverines relied on grit rather than three-pointers, making just two from beyond the arc to secure the win. Elliot Cadeau led the charge with 19 points, including the team's first three-pointer, and was named the Final Four Most Outstanding Player. Despite foul trouble hampering UConn, the Huskies fought hard, but Michigan's physical play secured the historic victory.
