Xander Schauffele's tee shot on the par-5 eighth hole at the Masters Thursday appeared to come to rest in a spectator's merchandise bag, just feet from Augusta National's fairway. The golfer used a tee to mark the spot, removed the ball, and handed the bag to a nearby fan before continuing with his round without penalty.
Schauffele made par on the hole and finished the front nine at 1 under, though he faced some challenges on the par-4 ninth. His tee shot landed in pine straw and his second shot found a bunker, though he was able to splash out to within inches of the hole.
