Former Cowboys DE Kneeland Had Early Stage CTE

Former Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland, who died by suicide in November 2025 after a police chase, had early stage chronic traumatic encephalopathy, his family announced Tuesday.

The Boston University CTE Center determined Kneeland was in stage one of four of CTE after analyzing his brain tissue. CTE is a brain abnormality linked to repeated concussions that can only be diagnosed after death. sportbet.reviews

Kneeland died by suicide in November 2025 following a high-speed chase with police. He was 24 years old.
