Saints Rookie WR Tyson Expected To Miss 2 Months

New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson is expected to miss approximately two months after suffering a hamstring injury during a joint practice against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The first-round draft pick's availability for the start of the regular season is in serious doubt as he begins his rehabilitation program. The injury occurred when Tyson caught a pass, slipped, and received contact from behind.

Saints head coach Kellen Moore clarified that this hamstring injury is unrelated to the previous issues Tyson managed during his collegiate career at Colorado and Arizona State, where he missed 17 games total. With Tyson expected to remain sidelined through August and into September, the Saints could place him on short-term Injured Reserve for the season opener against the Detroit Lions on Sept. 13. palladian.co.za
