Detroit Lions LB Jack Campbell, wife expecting first child

After his best season so far in his three-year NFL career, Detroit Lions star linebacker Jack Campbell and his wife announced on Sunday, Feb. 15, that they are expecting their first child.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, the 2023 first-round selection out of Iowa and his wife, Megan, revealed the expected family addition.

“half of me + half of you!!!” the caption of Megan and Jack Campbell’s collaborative post read. “Thank you, Lord, for this sweet gift.”

This past season, the former Hawkeye star led the Lions with 176 tackles (89 solo, 87 assisted), which ranked as the second-most in the league behind Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks. Campbell also recorded five sacks, four passes defended, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

The two married in 2024 after meeting as athletes at the University of Iowa. While Jack was a 2023 unanimous consensus All-American and a standout linebacker for Kirk Ferentz's Hawkeyes, Megan starred for the Iowa women's basketball program for two seasons before spending the final three seasons of her collegiate career at Drake.
