University of Cincinnati men's basketball coach Wes Miller's days in Clifton are numbered. Another season where UC misses the NCAA tournament (unless they win their conference tournament championship, which is unlikely). Bearcats fans are looking ahead to their next coach.
UC should take a serious look at Travis Steele, the men's head basketball coach at Miami-OH. Sure, he failed at Xavier. But doesn't America believe in a redemption story? The Miami RedHawks are the hottest men's basketball team in the country.
Steele's roster at Miami has a good mix of local talent and solid players. Steele would be a good fit for UC if the ability to land a big-time, national-championship coach were not an option. Steele would bring his roster and the ability to recruit players locally, regionally, and internationally.
What does UC have to lose?
