Meet Kentucky Mr. and Miss Basketball finalists for this KHSAA season

The Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation and Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches have named their finalists for the 2026 Mr. and Miss Basketball awards.

Sixteen boys and 18 girls were named finalists as the result of being named Player of the Year or co-Player of the Year in their respective regions.

The Mr. and Miss Basketball winners will be announced during a ceremony scheduled for March 22 in Lexington. Only seniors are eligible.

The Louisville-area finalists for Mr. Basketball are Jeffersontown’s Dayvone Harrison (Sixth Region Player of the Year) and St. Xavier’s Jeremiah Jackson (Seventh Region Player of the Year).

Harrison, a 5-foot-11 guard, is averaging 16.1 points and 2.2 rebounds and shooting 37.9% from 3-point range (47 of 124). Jackson, a 6-4 guard who has signed with Southern Illinois, is averaging 17.7 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting 41.8% from 3-point range (46 of 110).

The Louisville-area finalists for Miss Basketball are Butler’s Keziah Renee’ (Sixth Region Player of the Year), Assumption’s Ashlinn James (Co-Seventh Region Player of the Year), Sacred Heart’s Bri Wilkins (Co-Seventh Region Player of the Year) and South Oldham’s Madison Young (Eighth Region Player of the Year).

Renee’, a 5-7 guard, is averaging 15.4 points and 5.6 rebounds and is shooting 33.3% from 3-point range (33 of 99). James, a 5-7 guard who has signed with Indiana University, is averaging 14.2 points and 4.5 rebounds.

Wilkins, a 5-10 forward who has signed with Marshall, is averaging 17.7 points and 6.0 rebounds. Young, a 5-10 forward who has signed with Illinois State, is averaging 19.1 points and 9.3 rebounds.
