After a 3-3 start, the Angelo State Rams have found their groove with a five-game winning streak. Following their four-game sweep over the Sul Ross State Lobos last weekend, the No. 11 Rams picked up right where they left off Friday.
Angelo State quickly gained momentum in the bottom of the second inning, scoring four runs followed by three in the fourth, five in the fifth and one in the sixth, respectively. Austin Beck led the team with four RBI, going 4-for-5 at the plate. Beck leads the Rams as well with a whopping .891 slugging percentage through 11 games this season.
The Rams look to defend their home field twice in Saturday’s doubleheader. Game one begins at 4 p.m. while game two follows at 7 p.m. CST.
