Conor McGregor has announced he is prepared to face any “no name” opponent as he continues to campaign for a UFC comeback.

Conor McGregor, absent from competition since July 2021, used social media during UFC Houston to indicate he is ready to accept whatever matchup is presented.

The comments arrive amid continued discussion about his potential involvement on the UFC’s planned White House event in June.

McGregor open to fighting whoever is offered

Conor McGregor said his next appearance could come against an unheralded fighter and made clear he would sign the contract without hesitation.

The 37-year-old owns a 22-6 professional record and has not fought since suffering a broken leg in his trilogy contest with Dustin Poirier.

“It’s a no-name up next for me, possibly, folks. And as you know, I don’t give a f—. I ACCEPT. Send the contract, lads. CONOR MCGREGOR’S DEAL.”

He later wrote, “I have no ego whatsoever but sublime confidence earned through decades of hard work!”

McGregor has consistently expressed interest in competing on the UFC White House card scheduled for June 14, although no bout has been officially confirmed.

Dana White addresses McGregor’s return talk

UFC president Dana White responded to McGregor’s posts at the UFC Houston post-fight press conference and indicated that nothing has been finalized.

“If it was done and he accepted it, I would announce it.”

White has already ruled out a previously discussed fight with Michael Chandler for the White House event, leaving the potential opponent unclear.

The situation highlights the gap between McGregor’s public declarations and the promotion’s official stance as speculation surrounding his return continues.
