Suns injury update: Dillon Brooks out with left hand fracture

Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks is listed out with a fractured left hand for the game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Feb. 22 at Mortgage Matchup Center.

Brooks suffered the hand injury in the first quarter of a 113-110 double-over win over the Orlando Magic on Feb. 21. Brooks, averaging a career-high 20.9 points, didn’t play the final three quarters and finished with five points on 2-of-7 shooting.

"Extremely unlucky," Suns guard Grayson Allen said after that game. "Kind of been our bad luck all year."

The Suns (33-24) have yet to announce how long Brooks will be out, but the veteran forward is expected to miss multiple games.

Devin Booker (right hip strain), Jordan Goodwin (left calf strain), Haywood Highsmith (right knee injury management and Cole Anthony (not with team) have also been ruled out for the Feb. 22 matchup versus the Blazers (27-30).

Goodwin suffered his injury in the fourth quarter of the Feb. 21 win and didn’t return for the two overtime periods. He scored 17 points off the bench.

Booker missed the second half of a Feb. 19 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in Austin after experiencing discomfort with the hip in the first half. He’ll be re-evaluated in a week.

Jalen Green (right hamstring injury management) and Allen (right knee/right ankle injury management) are listed as questionable in the second of a back-to-back.

Green hit the game-winning 3 from the corner at the buzzer of the second overtime. Green, who finished with 16 points, played a season-high 37 minutes in just his ninth game of the season in his first year with the Suns.

Allen scored a team-high 27 points off the bench in 33 minutes. He had missed four straight games due to multiple injuries before returning against the Magic.
