After losing the league lead in Pamplona, analysis on spanish radio program Carrusel Canalla focused on Madrid’s inconsistency.
Host Anton Meana was vocal about Arbeloa’s shortcomings:
“Arbeloa has me confused. There are days where it seems he’s grasped the team’s dynamic… and then they go to Pamplona as if their lives didn’t depend on it. Madrid is still alive in La Liga but just hanging on with the season they are having.”
The host went on to question the defeat:
“Why do you have such a bad game? It wasn’t even a Lisci exhibition. It wasn’t the typical Osasuna that runs you over.”
Analyst Santi Gimenez warned against overreaction:
“From Barca’s perspective, it would be very wrong to think Madrid are dead. This league is very open. What happens is that these two teams create tremendous drama.”
