The New York Giants have a pair of key players to keep an eye on this offseason.
Those two players are wide receiver Malik Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo, both of whom suffered significant injuries in 2025.
Nabers suffered a torn ACL and Skattebo saw his season end early thanks to a dislocated ankle, fractured tibia and ruptured deltoid ligament.
When it comes to Nabers, there has been concern that he might not be ready for the start of the 2026 season despite how early in the 2025 season he was injured.
Nabers was still using a crutch to get around at the end of the campaign, and the former first-round pick said he was "not really sure" when he'd be back.
"Not really sure," Nabers said. "If my body doesn't feel right, then I'm not going to go out there."
Nabers has since sounded more positive about his outlook after calling his rehab "phenomenal," and general manager Joe Schoen provided a positive injury update on the wideout's recovery while down at the NFL Combine on Tuesday.
Schoen revealed that the plan is for Nabers to be ready for the start of training camp and that his rehab is going well. Schoen made it clear, though, that the timeline is subject to change and nothing is set in stone.
"He's in a good spot, he feels good," Schoen said of Nabers. "The plan is hopefully for him to still be ready by training camp."
One thing that has complicated Nabers' recovery timeline is the fact that he also needed a meniscus repair, which explains why he needed extra time to shed the crutches.
Given the fact that Nabers suffered his injury in September, he should have more than enough time to at least be ready for the start of the season.
