The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine has kicked off. We will get some more data on these prospects over the next few days. The tape should be the biggest data point for prospects, but inevitably, there will be guys who move up and down based on the numbers they put up in Indianapolis.

Mel Kiper has put out his second 2026 NFL mock draft this morning. He has the Tennessee Titans taking Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State, with the fourth pick. There is no doubt that Reese is a great football player, but I don’t like this pick for the Titans. At best, he is a project as an EDGE rusher. If the Titans are going to take a pass rusher with this pick, he has to be a guy who can come in and make an impact from day one. They cannot afford to take a project with this pick.

Kiper has Rueben Bain Jr. falling all the way to pick number 10 for the Cincinnati Bengals. That is the lowest I have seen him go in a mock. I’d rather have him as a 4-3 end than Reese. I’d also much rather see the Titans take an impact receiver at number four. Kiper has Carnell Tate going sixth to the Cleveland Browns and Makai Lemon going eighth to the New Orleans Saints. David Bailey, another common pick for the Titans, was off the board in Kiper’s mock with the Arizona Cardinals taking him third.

Here were Kiper’s comments on Reese:

Reese’s instincts and burst are all over the tape. I’m still ranking him as a linebacker at the moment, and he could help Tennessee there. But new coach Robert Saleh might very well move him to the edge, where he played the majority of the time in 2025. Although the Titans’ 42 sacks tied for 12th most last season, 11 of them came from defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons on the interior. The edge is a weakness. Reese could be a high-impact player in this unit no matter where he lines up.
