Liverpool signs £60m Jacquet after PSG miss

Liverpool have secured the £60 million signing of defender Jeremy Jacquet, a player who PSG considered but passed on in favor of Sékou Doucouré.

France youth international Jacquet emerged as one of Europe's most promising center-backs at Rennes, attracting Liverpool's attention despite PSG's earlier hesitation. A former PSG scout revealed they chose Doucouré over Jacquet due to concerns about his technical readiness at the time.

Now 6'4" and a commanding aerial presence, Jacquet fits Liverpool's defensive rebuild under Arne Slot. The 22-year-old is currently recovering from shoulder surgery before completing his move to Anfield.
