Shiffrin Wins Second Olympic Slalom Gold, 12 Years After First

Mikaela Shiffrin won her second Olympic slalom gold in the Dolomites, finishing 1.50 seconds ahead of Switzerland’s Camille Rast.

Shiffrin, 30, posted a combined time of 1:39.10, becoming the first U.S. skier to win three Olympic gold medals. Her victory ended an eight‑year Olympic hoodoo for the U.S. alpine team.

Rast, the reigning world champion, took silver with a 1.50‑second margin, the largest winning gap in Olympic alpine skiing since 1998. Anna Swenn Larsson earned bronze.
