Leicester appeal Premier League six-point deduction

Leicester City have launched an appeal against a six-point deduction for breaching financial rules, a sanction that saw them drop to the bottom three of the Championship.

The club has submitted its appeal to the judicial panel chair, with the Premier League seeking an urgent resolution before the season ends. Leicester described the ruling as disproportionate despite the commission reducing the original sanction.

Despite the deduction, the Foxes appointed Gary Rowett as head coach this week but remain two points from safety after consecutive losses.
