Maryland Women's Lacrosse Survives St. Joseph's, 17-15

Facing tired legs and a high shot count, the No. 3 Maryland women’s lacrosse team held on to beat St. Joseph’s 17-15 in Philadelphia.

Despite allowing 42 shots, the highest in six years, Maryland's high-efficiency offense prevailed in a 17-15 victory over St. Joseph's. New faces Keeley Block and Ava Meyn helped establish an early lead, while captain Jordyn Lipkin and Kori Edmondson added key scores.

JJ Suriano was instrumental in goal with seven saves, though ground ball struggles in the second quarter gave the Hawks momentum. Maryland managed to hold on late, surviving a three-goal run and securing the win despite the uncharacteristically porous defense.
