Inter Milan boss Cristian Chivu, who replaced Simone Inzaghi last summer, has failed to replicate his predecessor’s impressive results in Europe.
According to Tuttosport via TS – Inter, European campaign failed: one fact stands out above all in the Chivu-Inzaghi comparison, there’s one key difference between the two managers.
Despite being on the verge of winning the Serie A title in his first season at the club, Cristian Chivu has faltered in the Champions League.
Indeed, Inter are leading the way in the league, boasting a ten-point lead over second-placed AC Milan.
However, they failed to overcome Bodo/Glimt in the first knockout round at Europe’s top table.

Simone Inzaghi won just one Scudetto during his four-year stint at San Siro.
However, the Al-Hilal manager steered the Nerazzurri to two Champions League finals, albeit both ended badly for them.
Furthermore, Inzaghi had only lost four of his 34 Champions League games at the helm.
On the other hand, Chivu has suffered five defeats in his last six matches in the elite competition, falling short of Inzaghi’s standard.
