The Pittsburgh Steelers are on Aaron Rodgers’ time for the second consecutive offseason, but 2026 appears to be different than 2025, when Rodgers didn’t make his decision official until mandatory minicamp. General manager Omar Khan reiterated during his press conference at the NFL Combine that he didn’t foresee this year dragging on like 2025, and a recent report from Adam Schefter backs that up.
Per Schefter, the belief is that Rodgers will make his decision by mid-march, which is right around the time the new league year begins. Schefter adds that the feeling is that he could be back with the Steelers.
Rodgers originally stated on The Pat McAfee Show that he intended for 2025 to be his last season, which is why he and the team did a one-year deal. He threw 24 touchdowns to seven interceptions and helped lead the Steelers to an AFC North title, their first since 2020.
