Blue Devil men will open Region Tournament play on Thursday

Feb. 25— The Riverland Community College Men's Basketball team has secured a berth in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) Region XIII Tournament, to be played at Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids, Minn. on Thursday.

Riverland's first standoff will be against Minnesota North Mesabi Range at 5 p.m.

The No. 5 raked Blue Devils capped off a strong regular season in the MCAC with an impressive 11-1 conference record and 26-2 overall mark, earning one of the league's top qualifying positions heading into region postseason play.

"We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes and coaching staff for their performance this season," said Logan Mann, director of athletics and student life. "Earning a spot in the MCAC Regional Tournament is a testament to their hard work, resilience and team-first mindset all year long."

The MCAC Region XIII Tournament brings together top teams from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference and serves as the pathway to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament.

Riverland enters postseason play as one of the teams competing for a chance to advance beyond region play and continue its season.
