According to the Denver Posts Luca Evans, the Denver Broncos held a formal interview with Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion at the NFL Scouting Combine.
KC Concepcion is one of the more electric wide receivers in the 2026 NFL Draft. He is not the fastest player in the draft, but he possesses excellent acceleration and showcases his elusiveness and ability to create after the catch consistently on tape. On top of that, he is an excellent route runner and can separate quickly due to his burst and acceleration.
He measures in at 5-11 and 190 pounds and is viewed as a potential first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. NFL.com’s draft analyst, Lance Zierlein, compares Concepcion to former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin and says his ability to quickly uncover should be very appealing to teams with spotty protection and a young quarterback.
Concepcion offers immediate burst and separation into space. He’s elusive in beating press and getting into breaks with minimum damage from handsy coverage. While he has a one-speed approach, he can snap off routes with alarming suddenness, making him extremely difficult to match at leveraged break points. He’s instinctive against zone. He’s also a nightmare for man coverage on choice routes and near the goal line. He’s quicker than fast, with more value on utility throws utilizing run after catch. Concepcion’s ability to quickly uncover should be very appealing to teams with spotty protection and a young quarterback.
Wide receiver is an area many Broncos fans want the team to address this offseason, and Concepcion will be one of the top options in the draft for them. If drafted, he would join Marvin Mims Jr, Troy Franklin, and Pat Bryant as receivers vying for the number two receiver role behind veteran Courtland Sutton.
I do believe Concepcion’s skill set fits what the Broncos like to do. He can get open quickly, and he is best utilized in space and in the quick-passing game. Those are two things that the Broncos love to utilize. On top of all that, he’s an excellent route runner who can separate quickly, which bodes well for him to have success in the NFL rather quickly.
At the end of the day, the Broncos need to continue to surround quarterback Bo Nix with weapons, and Concepcion is one of the better playmakers in the draft. We’ll see if the Broncos do anything at the wide receiver position this offseason and if they would consider drafting Concepcion with their 30th overall selection in the first round of the NFL Draft.
