Labaron Philon is likely to play for Alabama basketball as its game with Tennessee approaches on Saturday, Feb. 27.
In the initial availability report from the SEC, the sophomore point guard was marked probable before the No. 18 Crimson Tide's trip to Knoxville.
Alabama (21-7, 11-4 SEC) rested Philon for the 100-75 win over Mississippi State on Wednesday, Feb. 25. Still, the Crimson Tide managed to fire off a season-high 22 threes.
Philon has dealt with different injuries throughout the season, including a nagging thigh-groin issue, as well as contusions from in-game collisions, according to Alabama coach Nate Oats.
Oats expressed during press conferences on Friday, Feb. 27 that he hoped athletic trainer Clarke Holter would clear Philon, who was limited in practice that day, for Tennessee.
