TNT Sports’ live streaming coverage in the UK will transition to HBO Max beginning March 26.

The update changes the digital platform through which fans watch Premier League and Champions League matches. It represents a notable adjustment in the network’s streaming distribution.

Starting March 26, TNT Sports content will no longer be available via Discovery+. Subscribers will instead stream matches and related programming through HBO Max across the UK and Ireland.

What the move to HBO Max means for subscribers

TNT Sports has stated that current subscribers can migrate to HBO Max using their existing login credentials.

The TNT Sports add-on will continue to cost £30.99 per month, maintaining the same price previously charged on Discovery+.

The change is designed to ensure uninterrupted access to live Premier League fixtures, UEFA Champions League games, and additional sports coverage.

While the platform is shifting, the underlying broadcast rights remain the same for these major tournaments in the UK.

Football coverage continues under TNT Sports banner

The move does not alter TNT Sports’ portfolio of domestic and European football rights. Viewers will still find Premier League and Champions League coverage presented under the TNT Sports brand.

For consumers, the transition primarily affects where content is streamed rather than what is shown. Fans will still have access to domestic English and European football on the new service.

The switch aligns with a broader effort to consolidate sports and entertainment offerings within the HBO Max ecosystem, streamlining their media portfolio.

Some fans may have hoped for a reduction in price for the TNT Sports add-on, but as things stand, HBO Max is set to charge the same amount.
