The Chicago Bears are in the market for more pass-rusher help this offseason. Montez Sweat is a good starter, but the Bears need another top pass rusher opposite him.

While they could go out and sign a free agent like Trey Hendrickson or Jaelan Phillips, or draft one early, the Bears could also turn to the trade market to land a superstar.

And according to NFL insider Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the Bears got some interesting and fun news on a top $106 million pass rusher's trade market. Breer's update on Maxx Crosby could be very fun news for the Bears.

Bears get fun news on Maxx Crosby amid trade update

"I'd lean toward a Maxx Crosby trade happening, and maybe this week," Breer writes. "... with teams like Dallas, Chicago, Baltimore, Buffalo, New England, Philadelphia, and the Rams keeping tabs on his availability."

Crosby has been mentioned in trade rumors for a while now, with the Las Vegas Raiders superstar drawing serious interest from around the league.

The veteran pass rusher has cap hits of $35.7 million (2026), $29.7 (2027), $27.2 (2028), and $28.2 million (2029) over the next few seasons. He's an expensive pass rusher, but he'd be worth it.

The five-time Pro Bowler is only 28 years old and coming off another strong year. He had 10 sacks, 73 tackles, 28 tackles for loss (career high), and 20 quarterback hits in a Pro Bowl season.

In his seven-year NFL career, Crosby has 69.5 sacks, 439 tackles, 133 tackles for loss, and 164 quarterback hits. He's the exact kind of player worth spending a fortune on.

The Bears are one of the many teams linked to Crosby in a trade, and after the 2025 playoffs came to a close, the Bears have been given trade predictions, ideas, and hypotheticals about acquiring Crosby.

With Chicago contending for a Super Bowl now and the team needing pass-rusher help badly, adding someone like Crosby would make a ton of sense.

It will be expensive, and would likely cost a first-round pick plus. It might be worth it. And with Breer's report suggesting a deal could happen soon, Bears fans should keep an eye out for more rumors as the week before the offseason begins approaches.
