Sanker Shines in Strong Saints Rookie Season

Safety Jonas Sanker had a strong rookie campaign for the Saints, starting 16 games and becoming a key contributor to a defense that ranked 9th overall.

Selected in the third round from Virginia, Sanker played 89% of defensive snaps after Julian Blackmon's season-ending injury. He recorded 80 tackles, 2 interceptions, and showed excellent range as a deep safety despite some inconsistencies that he'll need to address in the offseason.
