Nurse Disappointed by Broome's Knee Injury

Sixers coach Nick Nurse expressed disappointment that rookie forward Johni Broome suffered a likely season-ending lateral meniscus tear in his right knee while playing with the Delaware Blue Coats.

The injury occurred on February 21 during a G League game, where Broome had been developing well. Nurse noted that Broome had made progress in the G League and was disappointed by the setback.

Broome, the 35th overall pick signed to a two-way contract, has played sparingly with the Sixers (55 minutes across 11 appearances) but was averaging 21.8 points and 8.4 rebounds in the G League before the injury.
