WNBA Union Sends Counterproposal with Revenue Sharing and Housing Concessions

The WNBA players’ union has sent a counterproposal to the league, requesting 26% of gross revenue and revised housing provisions, with a deadline of March 10 to start the season on time.

The union’s new offer keeps its demand for 26% of gross revenue, a drop from the 27.5% it had proposed earlier, while the league had offered more than 70% of net revenue.

Housing terms remain: teams must provide housing for all players in the early years, but after a few years players earning at least 75% of the maximum salary may not be housed by teams. The parties aim to finalize the CBA by March 10, with the season slated to begin on schedule.
