Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane couldn't resist poking fun at Ohio State receiver Carnell Tate during Saturday's NFL Scouting Combine broadcast. Despite Tate's 4.54-second 40-yard dash time leaving him outside the top 10 fastest receivers at the event, Beane quipped, "He's pretty slow. I probably wouldn't take him early."
Tate remains firmly in the first-round conversation despite the slow time. The Ohio State standout emerged as a key playmaker in 2025, finishing his junior season with 51 receptions for 875 yards and nine touchdowns after contributing to the Buckeyes' 2024 national championship run.
