The Boston Celtics have officially signed 24-year-old guard John Tonje to a two-way contract, adding a former second-round draft pick with standout collegiate credentials.

John Tonje, who was selected 53rd overall by the Utah Jazz in the 2025 NBA Draft, brings impressive collegiate credentials to Boston. At Wisconsin, he averaged 19.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists during his final season, earning Second Team All-American honors and First Team All-Big Ten recognition.

After starting his professional career with the Jazz organization, Tonje was traded to Boston on February 5 in a deal involving Chris Boucher. He made his NBA debut on February 24 against Phoenix and scored his first career points against Brooklyn on February 27.
