Pickens Dominates as Tennessee Wins Invitational Finale

Karlyn Pickens pitched a complete game, striking out 15 as Tennessee beat Appalachian State 6-2 to finish the Tennessee Invitational undefeated.

Pickens started for the Lady Vols and delivered a dominant outing, throwing 124 pitches (75 strikes) and allowing only two hits and two earned runs. She struck out 15 batters, tying a career high, and issued four walks, hit one batter, and surrendered a single home run.

Tennessee finished the game 6-2, with Ella Dodge hitting a three‑run homer and driving in four RBIs. The Lady Vols remain undefeated at 19‑0 and will return to Sherri Parker Lee Stadium on Tuesday to face Belmont.
