India Reach T20 World Cup Semis for 6th Time

India booked their place in the 2026 T20 World Cup semi-finals with a thrilling five-wicket win over the West Indies at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Chasing 196, India held their nerves to complete the target with four balls to spare. This victory sets up a highly anticipated rematch against England, whom India lost to in the 2022 semi-finals.

Since the inaugural tournament in 2007, India has reached the semi-finals six times (2007, 2014, 2016, 2022, 2024, 2026). They have won the trophy twice (2007 and 2024) and reached the final three times, showcasing consistent dominance in the format.
